We know that you probably did not choose to visit Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk, Beech Mountain and Linville in the Blue Ridge Mountains NC just to go shopping, but many of our guests love to peruse the area shops and explore the region’s most popular shops, boutiques and galleries for fantastic finds. All of these great shopping areas are located near our cozy and inviting Cabin Rentals and Banner Elk NC and we hope that you love browsing these fine shopping spots!

Boone Mall

The nearest shopping mall to our Sugar Mountain Real Estate Rentals is located in Boone NC near the campus of Appalachian State University. Boone Mall is a small shopping mall that offers some of the usual stores. Here you will find a Belk, JCPenny, Waldenbooks and various clothing, electronic, athletic and shoe stores as well as a SmartCuts, Regis Salon and a salon at JCPenny.

Tynecastle Shops in Banner Elk

The Shops at Tynecastle in Banner Elk are very noticeable and most are familiar with seeing the grand stone-faced shops located on both sides of the highway. The small boutiques and adorable shops at Tynecastle are great places to find unique gifts and one-of-a-kind souvenirs. These great spots to shop are located just off of Highway 105 right at the Highway 184 light.

Shoppes on the Parkway

The Tanger Shopping near Boone NC is full of wonderful outlets and sometimes also called Shoppes on the Parkway. This gigantic Blowing Rock Outlet Mall has outlet shops for all the top brands that you love. Visit here and shop for Polo Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Nine West and more. This spot is located within a short driving distance (either on the Parkway, or through Boone via Hwy 105 to 321) from the Sugar Mountain Real Estate Rentals available at Preferred Mountain Real Estate Rentals.

In addition to these better known shopping areas, there are several galleries and unique shops that are located off the beaten path, so to speak, in smaller communities such as Valle Crucis and Linville Falls nearby. Also, the downtown regions of Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock all offer their unique shopping experiences. The downtown areas of Banner Elk and Blowing Rock are very similar even though these are two distinct vacation areas within the High Country. Both cater to those staying at local resort or in second homes in the High Country, and are great places to go shopping for clothing, art and antiques. Downtown Boone NC is quite different with its eclectic shops, consignment and vintage stores and unique clothing boutiques and galleries.
