Sugar Mountain Golf Course

Sugar Mountain Golf Course is a Banner Elk Golf Course that was designed by the longtime project manager for Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Frank Duane. Duane, who has since passed away, took full advantage of the mountain layout and the course features 9 par-threes, 8 par-fours and a single par-five. The elevation changes and amazing scenery make this course a standout among the NC Mountain Golf Resorts that are much more exclusive. This self-proclaimed ‘everyman’s course’ has something for everyone. It is the closest of the NC Mountain Golf Resorts to the Sugar Mountain Rentals that Preferred Mountain Real Estate offers.

Willow Valley Golf Course

Willow Valley Golf Resort is located just off of Highway 105 in between Boone and Banner Elk. It is a nine-hole course that many beginners like to play; however, everyone can find enjoyment when playing here. The old trees and mature landscaping of this course are definitely more than you would expect from a small course at a family-friendly golf resort.

Boone Golf Course

Boone Golf Course is located further away, in Boone NC and offers all of the amenities that you will be looking for. It is located in the Watauga Valley near Watauga Memorial Hospital in the heart of the High Country, yet this pristine course offers a great deal to all golfers. Mountain Glen Golf Course

Located in nearby Newland, Mountain Glen Golf Course is considered by most to be a Banner Elk Golf Course due to its proximity to the resort town. It is a public mountain course that most locals love to play.
